New Web Partnership Brings On-Line
Donations Tools to New York State Charities
Albany, NY and New York City—The Council of
Community Services of New York State (www.CCSNYS.org)
and NYCharities.org (www.NYCharities.org)
have partnered to provide free online donations tools
to over 900 CCSNYS’ member charities through the web site,
ChooseYourCharity.com (www.chooseyourcharity.com).
This new service, made possible through a grant from
the Charitable Venture Foundation, will allow CCSNYS member
organizations to link directly to donations screens in
NYCharities.org, and make it easier for their donors to
give quickly and safely using a credit card. When a donor
locates a charity of their choice in ChooseYourCharity.com,
details are provided about the organization, and a donations
button takes them directly to the charity’s secure screen
for easy online giving.
Using NYCharities.org, charities can customize their
donations screens, and review and download their donations
history over time. They can also sell tickets to fundraising
events online using a secure e-ticketing tool. NYCharities.org
provides the tools at no charge to the charity, deducting
only 3 percent for credit card fees and processing costs
of each transaction.

the advantages of the best Internet technology without
having to worry about the costs of additional software
